Last nights trip was a trip to the fabulous (baby) Sister Act.‘Sister Act is blessed with an insanely talented cast and numerous feel good numbers, it is thanks to this combination that the the show gets away with a lot more than some of its counter parts might. July was crazy theatre wise but I loved it! With huge shows like the gala night for @prettywomanmusicaluk and press night for @sisteractsocial through to supporting friends at @erithplayhouse. Oh and I also threw in a black tie work do, dinner in an igloo and some Al fresco drinking.

Bloggers have come under fire recently for giving bad review to shows. It gives me no pleasure to give a 1/2 ⭐️ review, especially for new writing, but I like to think that I’m always constructive. Additionally if I’m not honest with my thoughts on a show then how will my readers trust me? What’s your thoughts?

Being stuck at home with covid during this heatwave is not the one however I am so thankful for my garden! In the meantime until I can be in a pub drinking cold aperol spritzers I’m going to throw it back to my trip to Coppa Club. This was pre drinks at The Boathouse which had wonderful views of sunny Putney and the river!

Moulin Rouge is possibly my favourite film ever….combine that with a live musical and to me it has the possibility of a match made in heaven….however whilst the spectacle of the set, costumes and choreography was stunning the characters failed to connect both with the audience and each other. When I go to see shows such as American Idiot by @sedoslondon and many other amateur shows it reminds me of how lucky we are to have a such strong thriving amateur scene in London! These shows are anything but amateur so I challenge you all to check out an amateur production….and if free this week/next American Idiot comes highly recommended.
