About Musical Theatre Musings
Hi there,
Welcome to Musical Theatre Musings and thanks for taking the time to visit my site! This site is for all things theatre and is run by Sarah McPartlan.
A Bit About Me
I have a huge interest in theatre, especially musical theatre. I’m lucky enough to live on the doorstep of the West End as well as being surrounded by London Fringe theatre.
I am also surrounded by amateur theatre and have been involved in this world for about 20 years! I am on the committee for a local amateur dramatics group – Bromley Players. As well as performing in numerous shows for them, I have directed shows such as Hairspray (runner up to best musical in the London Region NODA awards in 2015), Shrek, Legally Blonde, Footloose, Stiles & Drews version of Peter Pan and choreographed Rent. I was the recipient of a NODA (National Operatic & Dramatic Association) award for the Louise English award. This is an award which is given to a person under 30 who has contributed a large amount to their amateur group. Prior to myself really getting involved in amateur theatre I was involved in my University Theatre Society where I choreographed numerous pantos, Cabaret and West Side Story as well as directed an original musical. I was also lucky enough to choreograph an original musical which was on for a month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I also used to work in the Churchill Theatre for 7 years working front of house and stage door but also being known to even work with education and follow spot on occasion!
I review not only professional and amateur shows but also look at all theatre related issues. Should you be interested in me coming along to review your show then please fill in the form below. I aim to have all reviews up within 24 hours.
On top of this I like to keep on top of what else is happening in and around London which includes places to go and restaurants to eat at!
I hope you enjoy my site and feel free to contact me with any suggestions/comments on the site:
