Stagey Christmas Gift Guides

I’ve broken this section into 2 parts. The first part has a focus on small businesses and the second half is stagey gifts from businesses of any size. I love a small business so do try and support a small business or shop local if you can.

Small Business Stagey Gift Guides:

Amelia Stitches – Stagey embroidery kits.

Amelia Stitches sells embroidery kits inspired by pop culture, theatre and literature. She has previously been stocked at the theatre cafe and exhibited at Theatre Con as well and has over 70 designs to choose from.

Musical Theatre wise she has kits that range from Hamilton to Operation Mincemeat. She also has shows that have toured such as The Adams Family, Annie and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The kits include a full 12 page guide with photos and diagrams including all the steps for beginners, pattern guide, pre printed calico fabric, DMC embroidery theatre, size 7 embroiders needle, backing fabric and ribbon to hang your piece at the end. These kits are roughly £28.

You can visit her Etsy shop here.

Ensemble Games – Musical Theatre Game

Ensemble Games has a range of musical Theatre items from stagey candles and bracelets to positivity pens and quiz books however my favourite has to be their card game. It is £12.50 and is actually 6 games in one. In their words:

“Each card is based around a musical, classic or modern. Choose from Opening Up, Trivia Time, Hum It, Draw It, Perform It, or our personal favourite… Guess It – where you have to guess the musical from the three characters, starting hard and getting easier!”

This is a perfect stocking filler. You can buy the game here.

Letters to July – Stagey colouring books

Letters to July has a stunning range of musical theatre items. With 80 stickers in their shop through to pin badges, journals, sticker books and washi tape each of her designs are beautiful. My favourite item however is probably the colouring books. She has 3 different colouring books at £16 each as well as a bundle of all 3 for £40. They focus on florals and phrases from well known shows, I spotted Choir of Man, Frozen, Matilda and many more.

You can check out the colouring books here.

Musical Theatre Pins

MusicalTheatrePins on Etsy has a range of 40 musical theatre pins in beautiful unique designs. They cover shows including Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Cabaret, Heathers, Next To Normal, Chicago, Wicked and more. They are priced at £11.70 each with free UK delivery.

StageyTickets – Personalised Tickets

StageyTickets offer gifts from Theatre Passports to custom tickets and posters. My favourite is the personalised tickets which are unique to the show, date and seat number as well as the venue. They say that it is available for all shows and is the perfect addition to go with tickets that you may have brought as a gift. They start at £7 a customised ticket.

OneShowMore – Stickers

If you are looking for a cute stocking filler for just a few pounds then have a think about these stickers from OneShowMore. They have a range which include specific shows such as Hamilton, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Bonnie & Clyde as well as more generic ones including my favourite – ‘I’d rather be at the theatre.’ They also do keyrings, bookmarks and more.

You can check out their full range on their Etsy store here.

EveLeoniArt – West End Map Art Print

EveLeoniArt shop is utterly beautiful. She has hand drawn original prints of a variety of West End Theatres and has combined them into a map for my favourite item but also items like a calendar and a notepad as well as some stunningly illustrated note cards.

The map you can see to the right starts at £25, there is a tote bag for £18 and the calendar for £22.

You can check out her full range here.

StageCraftCreations – Scrunchies

StageCraftCreations have a great selection of scrunchies and not just from the big shows. You can find Be More Chill and Next to Normal alongside The Lion King and Hamilton. Scrunchies are just £5 so once again would make a lovely stocking filler. They also do stickers and keyrings if they are more your thing!

You can see their full collection here.

LeeGreenawayArt – Six Musical Prints

I have actually purchased from Lee before as a Christmas present for my husband. Lee is a theatre, dance and portrait artist who takes commissions. I provided him with pictures of my husband is several roles and Lee was able to turn it into a work of art.

However if you are looking for something less time intensive then I can recommend one of his Six Queen playing cards which are beautiful. They are £29.50 or you can buy all 6 for £65.

You can visit his Etsy store here.

Tickets to a local amateur performance

Whilst it is wonderful to see shows in the West End can I suggest that you also check out amateur theatre on your door step. As you can see from some of my reviews on here there is an incredibly high standard of Amateur Theatre across the country. If you are in London why not check out Bromley Players production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Bob Hope Theatre in April (tickets here) which I happen to be directing. I can also recommend Sedos, Centre Stage and Geoids in the Central London area and also other productions at the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham.
