Bottle Bar and Shop is a bar in Catford that not only sells a great range of cocktails (amongst other things) for you to drink whilst there but they have pre-bottled cocktails you can pick up whilst there and take home. However don’t worry if you can’t make it to Catford, they also do a delivery service!

I’ve been into Bottle Bar and Shop numerous times and always loved it there so when I was sent some of their cocktails to try out their home delivery service I was over the moon.

I was sent 3 drinks to try. They were –

–Passionfruit Daquiri (Ready to drink)

This contains white rum, passionfruit juice, passionfruit syrup and lime and you can tell that there is no watering down with these cocktails. If you like rum cocktails then this is the one for you!

–Lychee Martini (Ready to drink)

Despite me normally being a gin girl this was my favourite out of the cocktails I was sent. It contains vodka, lychee syrup and coconut syrup. It was quite sweet but not in a sickly way. This reminded me of being on holiday, possibly due to the coconut syrup and any drink that can take me to the beach in my imagination is a winner for me!

– Strawberry Gin Liquer (Just add tonic/lemonade).

This is gin infused with strawberries, perfect for all the gin lovers. I paired it with tonic water although I may need to try out their suggestion of pairing it with sparkling wine!! I adore gin infusions and this infusion is slightly more subtle than others I have tasted but this is no bad thing. I also have to recommend giving it a big sniff as it smells just like a punnet of strawberries.

The range they do for delivery is large with not only the above choices but Cosmopolitans, summer gin cups, elderflower gin martinis, long island ice tea and more.

The price point is around £17 a bottle which gets you 20cl, although you can also buy 50ml for £28. (The bottles in my photos were 20cl bottles) I got 2 drinks out of the passionfruit daquiri and the lychee martini The gin liqueur however should last you longer, with a 50ml (generous) pour rather than 100ml so you should get at least 4 drinks out this one. However if you lie within 2 miles of the shop and quote ‘LOCAL DELIVERY’ on checkout you will get 15% off, so long as you spend £30.

The packaging is cute and all of the cocktails come in a glass bottle which you can obviously then recycle. Pre pandemic they did take the bottles back and reuse them but obviously that is on hold at the moment.

Due to the combination of a delicious cocktail and a really nicely presented bottle (and don’t hate me for saying this!!!) but they would make lovely stocking fillers or even secret santa gifts.

They currently ship to all over the UK although if you live within 2 miles of the shop they offer a free, next day delivery service. My local top tip is a trip to the Catford Broadway to see a show (when the theatres are open) and then finish your night here.
